A woman was publicly stripped by police officer

In a press statement released yesterday, Uchenna Emelonye the country representative said that the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Uganda is concerned with the allegations that Police used excessive force with arresting FDC officials on the same day.
“United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in Uganda is very concerned about allegations of excessive use of force and degrading treatment officers of the Uganda Police on 10th October. The incident happened at Kanyalyeru during the arrest of about 10 members of the opposition party who were travelling from Kampala to Rukungiri district to hold consultations,” the statement reads.
